PTSA Reflections

This year’s theme: What my culture means to me

Reflections is National PTA’s arts program, and every Alcott student can take part. Kids create something original around the theme and share a little about what it means to them.

How to enter

1

Make something

Create an original piece inspired by the theme. It should be your child’s own work, made this school year.

2

Fill out the form

Print the WSPTA entry form. Your child and a parent both sign it.

3

Upload it

Send in a photo or file of the work, the signed form, a title and a short artist statement (10 to 100 words) using our online entry form.

What you can enter

Visual Arts

Drawing, painting, collage, printmaking. Flat (2D) work only. Upload a clear photo or scan.

Photography

One original photo taken by your child. Upload the original image file.

Literature

A poem, story or essay your child wrote. Upload a PDF or Word document.

Good to know

  • Kids can enter more than one category. Just submit a separate entry for each piece.
  • K–2 and 3–5 are judged separately, and there’s an Accessible Arts division for students with disabilities.
  • The upload form asks you to sign in with Google. If that doesn’t work for you, email your entry to reflections@alcottptsa.org.
  • Please hang on to the original artwork. Pieces that move on may be displayed in January.
  • Every student who enters gets a certificate.
