Level up for Alcott!
2-week quest · Oct 12–23
Extra time: donations stay open through Wednesday, November 11. Every gift counts!
Together, we make a difference
This is the Alcott PTSA's one big ask of the year. No catalogs, no wrapping paper, nothing to sell — just a direct gift that funds enrichment, clubs, teacher support, and family events for every student at Alcott. We suggest $150 per student, and if your employer matches, that becomes $300.
Any amount helps, and no family is expected to give more than they can. Louisa May Alcott PTSA 2.8.3 is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, so your gift is tax deductible.

Members decide how it gets spent
Donating funds the work, and membership gives you a say in it. PTSA members vote on the budget at our fall general meeting, where you can ask questions and propose changes. Membership is separate from a donation, costs little, and adds your family to the number we represent at the district and in Olympia.
Fall General Meeting and Movie Night
Tuesday, October 20 at 6:00 pm, Alcott Elementary
Bring the whole family. Kids watch a movie while we hold our general membership meeting, and every Alcott family is welcome to attend.

Class reward
Every class that reaches 100% earns an ice cream party
- This is not a drawing and not a contest between classes. There is no limit on how many classes can win.
- Participation means every family in the class has taken part. The size of the gift does not change whether a class qualifies.
- Classes that reach 100% will be celebrated in the newsletter as they get there, not only at the end.
Questions families ask
-
Our suggestion is $150 per student, and if your employer matches, that becomes $300. But it is a suggestion and not a requirement — there is no minimum, gifts of every size add up, and participation matters to us more than any single number.
-
No. Anyone can give — families, grandparents, neighbors, staff. Membership and donations are separate, and you are welcome to do either or both.
-
Yes. Louisa May Alcott PTSA 2.8.3 is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and Givebacks will email you a receipt for your records.
-
That is completely fine, and it is not something you need to explain to anyone. Volunteering, coming to events, and joining as a member all support the school. Every Alcott student benefits from what the PTSA funds, regardless of whether their family donated.
-
Everything raised stays at Alcott and funds the programs listed above. The exact amount that goes to each one is set by a budget that PTSA members vote on at the fall general meeting, and the approved budget is available to any member who wants to read it.
-
Yes — become a member and come to the fall general meeting. Members vote on the budget, which is what decides how much goes to enrichment, classroom support, events, and everything else. Donating funds the work; membership is how you help direct it.
